Chapter One

Where It All Started.

01

Loved taking apart toys to understand how things work — not to break them, but to learn.

02

A natural curiosity for systems and mechanics that couldn't be contained by a classroom.

03

Learned by breaking and rebuilding — every failure was a lesson in disguise.

Identity

First-Generation Path.

First-generation American with a Haitian background. First in my family to graduate high school. No traditional college path — shaped by financial and academic limitations that became fuel, not barriers.

A non-traditional path doesn't mean an unsuccessful one.
The Beginning

Finding My Way Into Tech.

Joined a 2-year technical school that opened the door.
Learned how computers actually work — from the ground up.
Earned industry certifications, one at a time.
Built real experience step-by-step, proving skills over credentials.

Career Journey.

Impact

Representation Matters.

One of few Black engineers to reach Staff Engineer level at a major tech company. In rooms where representation was rare, presence became a statement.

Observed firsthand the lack of diversity in tech — and developed a strong belief that opportunity should be accessible to everyone, regardless of background.
